After measuring, I came to the conclusion that my chainline was right on. Took it to another lbs who had some experience w/ track bikes. They replaced the cheapo 3/32 chain i had with a high end sram 9 speed chain---compeltely eliminated noise from rear hub. I tightened the chainring bolts a little and this decreased the rattling noise from the chainring although it did not completely eliminate it. I may try and loosen my chain tension tonight.
