^ EXACTLY!
I mean, I do everything right and still seem to hae to deal with this issue a couple of times a season.
So far so good on the powder, and at about seven bucks for a container of it, the stuff is a lot cheaper than Assos cream....less messy too.

For both of you ...

My first question would be, have you checked your bicycle setup? If your saddle is too high, you'll rock, which will cause extra friction. If you saddle is too low, you'll be putting too much pressure on that area.

My next question would be, what saddle are you using? If you're using a gel saddle, that would be your problem right there!

My third question would be, what shorts are you using? If you're using shorts with gel padding, I'd strongly suggest going with something else. Also ... you're not wearing underwear under the shorts right?
