The packet I received from RAGBRAI did indeed suggest a rear view mirror attached to the helmet or the bars as standard equipment. In addition, the booklet hammers away at the "RIDE RIGHT" premise so that slower traffic does indeed keep to the right.

As opposed to calling out "on your left" or "coming through the middle" or what not - does anyone use a bell on RAGBRAI? Bells are standard fare over here in Europe and it is easier to ringle jingle than to call out umpteen times.
