I finally got to take these wheels out for a spin. I was able to do 35 miles on them this morning. This is a very fine wheelset. This was $400 well spent!!! The ride is stiff but still compliant enough to do some long rides on them. I did not do any major climbing today but I did quite a few rollers and some short steep hills. I switched between standing, spinning and mashing up the hills that I encountered and felt no flex from the wheels. The R28's coupled with some GP4000's makes a great combination. I like the feel in the fast corners better on the R28's over my Vigors. There was a 15MPH wind coming from the south today. The 5mm blades spokes do act as sails when the crosswind hits them but it's nothing that can not be easily controlled. This wheel feels very fast when riding with a tailwind and extremely stable when riding into a headwind.
All-in-all, I give this wheelset a big thumbs up!!! It is smooth, fast, and relatively inexpensive. I said it once and I will say it again...this was $400 well spent.
