Actually, I've found John Neugent to be amazingly responsive via email - and if you hunt thru the archives you'll see many have experienced the same.

I ran into some freehub trouble last weekend (my fault, degreaser overspray) and he was kind enough to respond quickly. His reply came two hours later, on a Saturday evening, just prior to Easter Sunday. Super nice guy.
