PS, a helmet is designed to work once. You need to replace it. Contact your LBS and/or Giro and ask about the replacement warranty. Trek will replace once and they use the damaged helmets in research for better helmets, etc...I would assume that Giro does something comporable. They may not replace $ for $, but might give you a discount towards a new one. All in all, the helmet needs to be replaced...don't take you luck on that one again.
