Someone mentioned hairless legs being better for road rash...it's definitely true...it also results in less serious flesh tearing as longish hair will grab the ground and pull off more flesh...ouch!

let me guess, you're a golfer (or at least read his column in Golf Magazine), since that is how David refers to his wife in those columns. I imagine we'd get along great.

So far as I can tell, the phrase is originally from the novel "She" written by Henry Rider Haggard, at least that's what my wife, the fan-of-all-things-old-and-British, tells me. Rumpole of the Bailey (the British legal comedy) is how I first heard the phrase.
