Cycling Setbacks

So after my disasterous first race at the end of season last year, I commited myself to training hard for my second race in May of this year. So 3 weeks ago I came down with perhaps the worst sickness of my life. 6 days of fever, 6 more days of congestion in lungs, no riding. I rode easy for a week, hoping to ease back into shape. But even that was limited to what ammounted to 4 miles warming up only to turn coughing to much to continue. So after losing valuable training days, I am signed up to do the MS 150 this weekend which would put in 170-185 miles in 2 days. Good deal, make up for some lost time. NOT THAT LUCKY, Wednesday I had a violent allergic reaction to what i assume is poison ivy. Eyes swollen shut. Yesterday my eyes opened enough to see, no perifreal vision though. No riding this weekend. I suppose Monday may be my first day back on the bike, if i'm lucky. Just my rant. I know some ya'll have broken legs and only lost 4 days on the bike, I'm just using this forum, to feel sorry for myself.

P.S- I really really hate the trainer.
