100+ degrees F, 100% humidity, lots of bugs that keep getting in under your helmet via the air vents, heavy SUV traffic on roads with no shoulder at all, SUV drivers that are holding their cell phones in one hand and their lattes in the other while checking their hair in their inside mirrors, squashed roadkill that has to be dodged while displacing the SUVs.
