I just don't have enough miles on my legs, even for someone who just started to race. I'm sure a lot of people can relate, it's so tough to ride at a reasonable hour with school/work (in my case, both). I did better at that crit than my first. My first crit had a very small hill and I sucked, only 5 other girls were in it. My second crit was totally flat, longer, windy, and with a lot more girls. I liked the second, though I didn't place well (I wasn't last though!!!) it was a lot more fun. I felt like I really pushed myself to the max, my heart rate reached 203 at one point. I got to paceline with 3 other girls who got dropped from the pack and when we crossed the finish line I felt like I still had some juice left. It was a great experience.
