I am not an expert but I think there is no size of forks, it's all in the steering tube... for the fork travel (i'm talking about X mm) it all depend on the frame you are wearing do not put too much travel because it will change the geometry of your bike and there is some risk of frame breaking...
I would not like to wee my frame came in two paarts after a ride
