Lesson Learned- use the right clips/straps

I know- Im stubborn, wanting to keep using these. I learned the hard way-
on a fixie, you better get the right kind. I never thought much of how much
my toes hang over the ends of the pedals until i got thrown. I was tired
after 33 miles and was doing a tough climb, so my foot position was suffering.
My left toe slid inward and caught under the crank as it was coming up on
the back of the rotation. I always wondered what would happen in that situation-
You get pulled off the bike on that side, and thrown to the ground!

Im now going to change the clips/straps on the fixie to the same kind on my
pista, which have much less toe overhang, and you cant get stuck under the crank.
See my pics- If you have the kind i did- think about changing.
