Speaking as a REAL conservative (not a Bush-ite pseudo-conservative), this is one of the worst ideas in years.
Our taxes won't supply the cash... our children's & grandchildren's taxes will ! The Federal Govt is broke and living off of a credit card!

Where the heck did they get all that money, that they can just go mailing out 100 dollar bills? Oh yeah, they got it from us. Taxes. It's our money, and we paid them to make the country better, not to give money back to us. How stupid do they think we are?
Of course, they figure we really will spend it on gas. That way, the government can subsidize the oil industry without appearing to do so. Can you imagine them doing this for other industries?
If I do get a check for a hundred bucks, well, I guess I'll spend it on bike parts.
