Radical seat stays on the sakae, I bet that reduces seat stay flex when braking. I almost cried when the water pump seal went on my 1986 Mercury Lynx. A friend and I bought it in BC (both ontario residents at the time) while tree planting so we could scoot of to destinations like Jasper in the rockies in between planting contracts, we put a lot of miles on that car and just ditched it. it cost us 600 bucks and the repair would have been over 300, we couldn't be bothered, it had served it's purpose. The girl we were travelling with said she had never seen a boy so heartbroken.
