Yesterday (Saturday Afternoon), I decided to take my Dahon Boardwalk three speed out for a leisurely long ride to a neighboring district to see how much the surrounding hills are shifting and eroding due to the recent heavy rains. You could really study how the hills are moving far more than if you took your car. Bikes are far more mobile for careful close up observations than a car. After watching for a while, I decided to return home. That is when my normally boring predictable rides took a turn for the weird.

I was slowly riding along a busy thoroughfare soon switching to the sidewalk as I approached the intersection to avoid the jammed back up of cars even on a weekend. I spotted some dollar bills tumbling around in the brisk breeze. I easily zig-zagged the bike about to meet the bills. I deftly pluck each bill up as they flew along. I corralled the last two bills by snatching one before it went into the busy intersection and the last one as it was caught in a weedy tiny bush. The bills went into my pack to be later counted out at home. I netted only five dollars in new one dollar bills (seems more doesn't it). But I actually found another use for my folders-as a money gathering machine!
