I have posted this in the Mechanics Forum also, but I thought you guys might be able to help too.

I just picked up this old frame that I am planning to convert. The BB will hardly turn so I am going to replace it from the get-go. Can anyone tell me how to remove this type of BB from the frame? Also, will this frame accept a modern type bottom bracket? Thanks.
