Hello Miller2,

Glad to hear that the Serotta fitting worked out well for you. The key IMHO is to be working with a well-trained technician who is working to a repeatable system. It's bringing you to a baseline first that then allows you to close in on a position that is comfortable.

A 60mm stem is short but not impossibly short. Back in the 1970s and early 1980s before there were stock frames designed for women, you would see (and sometimes still see) women riding bikes with short stems. This was (is) because their torsos are generally proportionally shorter compared to their leg length when compared to men.

If a Felt has an "aggressive" geometry (i.e. long top tube) and you are riding more for fitness rather than racing, then it is not unreasonable to end up with a short stem.

Enjoy your better fitting bike.
