There is a potential problem with discs though. If you are a raceaholic, then you have to watch some wheels. Most HED and Zipps will not work because the extra breaking forces put too much stopping power on the wheels.
I had Avids on another bike and found them to be too futzy for my taste. I don't think the hub was parallel and they constantly rubbed. Nothing drives me crazy like rubbing brakes!
