Bikes: a lot

As long as we are fessing up I'll share my mistake from yesterday, Went to my favorite trail after three days of rain, and boy was it trecherous. Even the flats required technical manuvering and complete attention. With enough mudd caked to my tires that it was hard to pedal, and even harder to steer or accelerate, I approached a steep downhill section with about four steps (formed by tree roots crossing the trail) Just made it by the last of the steps and my front tire hit a root that runs diagonally across and down the trail. The tire just kept sliding to the left and down the hill rather than going over the root, I try to correct by steering harder and harder to the right and.......... You guessed it. When the tire finally comes over the root it's pretty much 90 degrees from the back half of the bike and over the bars I go! Nothing hurt but my pride.
