Just got back from making my first foray.
I fought traffic forever, but finally made it to Roswell Bicycles. Nice with a capital "N". They had lots of hardware in stock, and enough carbon to create new life forms. I wish they had more clothing, but then again that was going to be all I could fit in my bag on the plane.

I spotted a Performance shop on the way over and had to stop. I know Atlanta just got these stores and I wanted to see if they had any different selection than the ones in Chicago. Nope. I will say that the store was much larger in size than the Naperville store, and was very well layed out and clean and signed well (like I ended up with a 650 Pro Race2 tire in Naperville because it was thrown in with the 700 - at this store they were in 2 different bins very far apart from each other - bonus). My only complaint - the place was DEAD. I was amazed. I was there for about 30-40 minutes and no one else came in during that entire time. NO ONE. Ouch!

Next stop was a Free Flite store that I happened across. Typical Trek dealer, but they also had some not so easy to find small stuff. This is the store I actually made my purchases in. I found some LeWedges for my SPDs (on FG) for $25 - about right, some replacement straps for my SIDI genius 5 - $9.95, and some store branded De-Feet socks that are grey and blue to match my "kit" - $8.
These guys were really friendly as well. Good conversation, good bikes (if you like Treks, LeMonds, Seven, etc), nice off items. Good experience.

If I have time tomorrow I might look for other shops, but I think I just might have to take a trip to Brasstown Bald. I heard it's about an hour from where I am so.....
