If cycling is something you enjoy and you got the money, why not spend it?

I've got the bike I like. It costs about the same as an extravent vacation we took. It costs much less than any of the family vehicles. It's much less than last years home improvment project (tore out deck and replaced it and half the back yard with a patio).

But dollar for dollar, it's the best value in terms of expenditures I've made. I have fun and enjoy every ride.

The alternative is spend the money on something else or invest it. I know I made the right choice each time I hop on for a ride.
