I'm considering getting the salmon color pads for that reason. The other day I was descending Mt. Diablo and heard some weird noise. Got off and found something stuck in the brake pad. Yuck! I'm glad I found it right away.
Are there any disadvantages to putting the salmon pads on? like maybe you have to replace them more often?
I find that the salmon pads do wear a little faster than the black pads. If you never ridse in the rain, then there really is no need for the salmon pads. in dry weather both feel about the same.
