I love my steel LeMond Zurich!
Last time I took the LOOK out for a spin the rear derailleur cable slipped and I found myself unable to shift gears. That was about 3 weeks ago. When that happened I pulled over and got out the multi-tool and got it shifting again but I had already called my friend who I was going to meet up with. He picked me up and we drove back to my house to get the LeMond and I haven't been on the LOOK since.
The LOOK is a sub 17lb CF bike with Campy Chorus 10 spd and Ksyrium SL wheels. The LeMond is a sub 20lb bike with Campy Chorus 9 spd and Mavic Open Pro 32 spoke wheels laced to Record hubs with double butted spokes.
I've been commuting on the LeMond and doing my weekend rides on it as well. I just keep getting better on it too. Did a 30 mile ride this morning with a friend of mine riding from Carlsbad to Del Mar and back and we averaged 17.1 mph. It's a coastal ride with a fair number of stops and it's all small ups and downs but with no big elevations changes.
I'm glad I could breath new life into this frame. It is truly worthy.
