I don't know if it would be a good thing for synth fibers like dri-fit or Cool Max or other like that, but believe it or not good old WD-40 will get lots of stains out of clothing, as will automotive handcleaners like Goop and Fast Orange. My mother-in-law told me about the WD 40 and I was really skeptical until I saw what it did for diesel and hydraulic stains.
Be careful testing it on jerseys and stuff though.
Unfortunately I can tell you that some stains are yours to keep once they are there...I have a Cool Max T that is my favorite summer top and it's got road oil all over the back from years ago. Nothing worked there.
