I'm by no means a pro at this, but know enough to say you should probably let a good LBS help you with fit. It is an important enough part of the bike selection process that you don't want to leave it to chance. If you want to get an idea of the fit neighborhood you should be in, you can probably get that from Competitive Cyclist's Fit Calculator. Once you've done that, though, still probably best to go over the results with your LBS to see if they need to be adjusted. You can learn a fair amount online, but that's no substitute for getting fitted by a knowledgeable human being. Anyway, here's the link:
