Look at the old Trek 520 and compare it's geometry to the CDale Crit, very relaxed and no amount of component changes could make her more lively. That has to be the best analogy I've heard so far... You hit the nail on the head! I have tried making changes like Waldo mentioned, and he is spot on in his evaluation. (I use to love my jittery CDale in my younger years).
