Today, in downtown Littleton, CO, I saw a guy carrying his roadie with the front wheel in one hand and the rest of the bike in the other, looking tired after a rather long walk.
Seems he had been goatheaded twice, and his spare tube was zapped and the one flat seemed to him to be unfixable due to location - I think right next to the stem or whatever? He did have a patch kit.
Anyway, I observed him asking a local where a bike shop was (about 8 blocks away).
I had my "Bikemobile" so I offered to take him to the bike shop, which he readily agreed to.
Nice guy, and I told him to do the same thing for someone else sometime as thanks for my help.
It all worked out fine. (Incidentally, if we hadn't found a bike shop, I did have two extra 700x25 tubes in my car!)
