I like it. Seven-speed makes sense, and internal hub probably makes sense too. Yes, I prefer a roadie for distance, but I prefer a hybrid for trails/bike paths or stop-start city riding. And remember Europe has a much better network of bike paths, used mostly by people ambling along with all the time in the world.
