I just... why do you care if people ride fixed or freewheel? What's the big deal? I mean, I'm riding fixed; I tried freewheel for about 5 minutes, and yeah I thought, "This is dumb, I just just ride my geared bike." But maybe some people like freewheeling it, and why is it your -- our -- right to criticize them for it?

And splitting the forum? I think that's dumb. We'll end up with another vintage/road bike situation... "Hmm... my bike is older, but it's a road bike. Should I post in vintage or road?" Especially when you consider freewheelers are fixed gear bikes from a certain point of view: if you're running 44x16 on a freewheeler, that gear's pretty fixed. Ain't no changing it until you get back home and take it apart.
