Depends on what you want. The Lemond is more of a cyclocross bike IMO with the double. The Volpe Would tend to be a little more versital perhaps with the triple.

I have a Volpe that I commute on, but I also take it on some of my longer rides too. I took it on Cycle North Carolina last year with some other wheels and some 25s.

I'm very happy with the bike (mine's a very nice looking candy red), but I also liked my steel framed Lemond.
