What is a simple program to follow that will help me lose 25-50 pounds in six months while improving speed and stamina?

I've read a fair amount about nutrition, so I'm really looking for applied knowledge that is cycling specific. Links are appreciated.

Thanks!

That's it, in a nutshell, but don't be stupid about it. If you burn 1500 calories in a day, don't just have 12 beers all day. Make the calories you take in work for you.

When I want to drop weight fast (and I can, but I love what I sacrifice too much to eliminate it altogether) I stop eating all things white. White Bread, White Rice, Milk, Pasta, Sugar, Salt, etc. I'll switch to whole wheat breads, rice, and pasta. I'll switch to protein powder in lieu of milk. Switch to an artificial sweetener or eliminate sweeteners completely. And the number one think I do is try to eliminate all Salt from my diet. Salt is the #1 culprit for water retention and weight plateaus. This includes pickles, pretzels, peanuts, french fries. X-ing out the salt will allow your body to lose at least 1 lb of water a day, so you'll want to drink much more water to keep your body in balance. The water will help kidneys function better and keep your stomach processing the food as best as it can.
