Nobody ever got stronger rolling down a hill, or cruising along in a tailwind. Only the fatty-fatty-two-by-fours brag about descending speed.
Incorrect!
Descending is a very special biking skill. Often folks who can do a good high speed downhill ski, also descend well. It's all about skill and guts, plus you often have to power thru some slower corners as well.
