I left work an hour early on Friday and saw a commuter leaving my company's other campus. Reeled her in and chatted as we rode. Nice lady. Lives quite a distance away; drives her car about halfway, then gets on the bike and does 13 miles on the bike. She said she's been doing it for about 3 weeks. Her schedule is an hour earlier than mine, unfortunately.
As for today, I had a guy in a pickup lay on his horn about 10 seconds before passing me and held it down the entire time he passed. Why he did it, I have no idea. This is on a road with 2 lanes in each direction and a center turn lane. Yes, I was taking the entire right lane (there's a gutter-and-curb on this road, plus sewer grates) but there was absolutely nobody in the left lane. <shaking head in wonder>
