I'm reading a book about John Howard's racing career. He said he ordered exactly 500 of these bikes from Dave Moulton, and they were only sold for a two year period. I'm guessing that if someone saw a "John Howard" at Goodwill or Salvation Army, they might hesitate to pay $30 for it. How many folks under the age of forty remember John Howard or Dave Moulton?

And, these are among the finest steel frame bikes ever built in the USA, and one in "like new" condition would be a bargain at $1,000. So, if you are at Goodwill, and see a "John Howard"....
