Nearly newbie seatpost query

A dull (but worthy) question.

Thanks to this forum, I seem to be on the way to curing my chronic (mal) positional pains. The remedy was to raise the saddle and bars. It was also suggested that I move the saddle backwards. To do this properly, I'll need a new seatpost.... something I guess like the picture. Should be easy enough.

Went to the glitzy big chain emporium which recommended a Thomson;

£70 - ($119). Huh?. This is a length of bent metal tube...right? I should have believed Stapfam.

Fortunately they don't stock the 25.4mm diam that I'm looking for. But then again they don't stock any 25.4's except a MTB post which was disappointingly unbent.

The glitzy emporium has (predictably) a glitzy catalogue with pictures. Real bike stores here dispense with such effete niceties. I'm stuck unless I know what I'm looking for.

Surely there is somewhere a manufacturer who make a 25.4 mm road seatpost, nicely bent, about 300-350mm long AND distributes it worldwide. Oh.. and doesn't charge much for it.
