Mid-Michigan's been getting hit with water every day for over a week, now. My wife and my mother-in-law (who came to help take care of the new baby boy!) both shake their heads every morning as I head out in my rain gear. Both other son's soccer practices and games got cancelled. No mowing or yard work of any kind. Sump pumps are running practically non-stop. The water got up to the bottom of the shed door, but since it hangs down lower than the floor, I still had an inch or so before it got inside. I now have a path marked out in my head of how to walk from the back door, across the yard and to the shed for the bike without stepping in puddles or mud. Now, if I can only remember the path along the "ridge" once the dry weather comes and try to get some better drainage in the back yard.
