He stays on my wheel I slow a little more look back and he comes up on my right side, I say hey how ya doin, beautiful day isn't it, he has a nice ride a specialized carbon, young kid .

He looks at me and says see ya old man,, well holy crap boy was I taken for a surprise and he pulls ahead of me, took me totally by surprise and off-guard.
So Iam thinking to myself naw just leave it alone Gary, well it just really pissed me off. Old Man ah ok, he was a good 200-300-- yds in front of me now cresting the hill, so I sighed, put it in the big ring 53/12 and hammered,as I am coming on top of the hill he is looking down at his quads,{legs, must of been admiring them} still quite away in front I just kept the hammmer down, caught him and passed him with a hey toot, toot MOFO. , I look back he has no grin now, no smirk, I wave, slam the hammer down again and he never catches me.
I have to say that gave me a great chuckle the rest of the evening as well as the next day.
Us old guys, Ain't to old after all.
53x12 uphill? Sounds like a certain former frequent poster that used to make grand claims, only he used a slightly higher ratio. Either that, or you're a beast, or you have 20" wheels. Or gale force tailwinds. Or a gravitational anomaly. Could have been anything really.
