yeah i told that to him and he blamed it on a) the ring that is not original and b) the fact that you aren't supposed to use that gear combination on all bikes (smallest chainring, 3 smallest cogs)
what am i to do!?!? ask them to put on another chainring? what if they tell me that's the only one they have that fits?? i have a feeling i am going to get screwed over on this and i dont know what to do. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
this is why I HATE having other people fix my stuff. it never ***ing goes right.
at this point im about to walk in there and tell them to refund my money, take off the chainrings, and take them back (do you think they would even DO this considering i have now used the chainrings!? i'd sure hope so). if they dont feel like they are up to the challenge of fixing this bike CORRECTLY, then I will bring it to another store
I just don't know how to do this - I know what is going to happen - they're gonna tell me that that middle chainring is the closest fit to my bike, that they do not make the original chainring anymore, and that you are not supposed to use the 3 smallest cogs while on the smallest chainring - what should my rebuttal to their argument be????
and, thank you all
so much for taking the time to help me
im glad to have some experience at hand so i can know what is going on here rather than being fooled like a FOOOOOOOL, and i appreciate it a ton
