The derailler doesnt have a "clamp" on the frame, so you cannot move it some certain way, he said (i forget which way)
Ideally I don't want to spend any more money. I really cannot believe it is this HARD to replace a simple freakin chain ring. Just because my chainring gets bent I shouldn't have to re-do my bike and buy a new chain...that seems crazy
I just don't know if i should walk in there and take my frustration out on them (in a very civilized way, of course) and hold them to this problem, or if this problem rests on the new chainring. they seem like nice people and i really would hate to be on bad terms with them. i just want my damn bike to work like it once did. i dont know how to approach them, or what to be aiming for in this. i already brought it back today and he road the bike and just told me what i've explained above. i need a good reason to bring it back a second time and demand work done.....ahhh whatta damn mess, i wish i didn't shift that one gear and bend my chainring. i need a time machine
i dont know what to do. bring it to another shop and see what THEY tell me?
tell my bike shop to either fix the problem, or take all the new chainrings off and gimme my bike to take somewhere else?
i can only imagine, knowing my luck, that i'd bring it to another bike shop and they would do the exact same thing. this would be even more horrible than the current situation.
my god i cant believe there just isnt a freaking chain ring that FITS MY BIKE. what is going on. this is insanity.
