This gets ****tier every day!
I just took it for a real ride and I am NOT PLEASED.
I refrained from using the 3 smallest cogs while on the smallest chainring. I guess that went ok.
But then, when I am on the middle chainring and I am on the...lets see...4th...or maybe 5th cog, and under torque, the chain will get caught on the middle ring teeth and these teeth, on the bottom of the middle ring will grab the chain (or maybe the chain is grabbing IT) and the chain is brought up, still hitched on the middle chainring, to the point where the underside of the chain on the bike will wedge inbetween the frame and the largest chainring (and then I have to stop cranking, otherwise I will absolutly destroy my chain/chainring/derailler.
i cant even believe this ****. that definitly crossed the line. this should not be happening. at this point i dont even know if i may have damaged my chain just because of these new chainrings. all that matters is the LBS did NOT tell me I had a bent chain when I first brought it there for the initial repair and infact specifically told me it was not bent. They did NOT tell me anything else was wrong.
When I brought it today the guy was like "well maybe the spider is bent" and then i went home and was like wait a minute why didnt he tell me that the FIRST time I brought it there? bullsh it
So, tomorrow I shall bring the bike. They have two choices. They can fix the damn bike, free of charge (even if it means different chain rings - i want the damn bike to WORK). If they don't wanna do that then I will ask them to take off the chainrings they put on and give me back 61 freaking dollars so that I can go somewhere else.
this is so ridiculous
