Where are you finding these great bike lanes?

I did a San Diego to Cabo San Lucas ride back in 1984... the most amusing thing to me was the difference between the Mexican drivers and the American drivers while down in Mexico (you could tell by the license plates).

The Mexican motorists would go wide around me, easily crossing the double yellow line. The Americans (even in their super huge RVs) would not cross the double yellow line... no matter how little oncoming traffic existed... and in some places you could see for quite a way down the road.
