In my opinion your backcountry experience is negligible. In one trip alone I have more than tripled all of your experiences put together. I think you might be lacking some backcountry common sense.
My trip to The Canyonlands will go as planned. I will meet with the rangers as I always have in order to leave my itinerary and to discuss some last-minute details... mainly because I am solo (as I always am).
You can be sure the spirit of the law will be followed. But like with all laws there are many ways they can be interpreted. The rangers will tell me what I need to know in regards to waste management. I simply came on here looking for the best way to carry a porta-potty when mountain-biking.
I'm done with this debate. You can have the final word.
