i think its robbie mcewen (ex BMX guy?) that does all sorts of bunnie hops onto medians on his bike during the tdf, i think he's just showing off to the camera, but its still pretty cool. I think he's the same guy that pops a wheelie at the top of every mountain climb, he's pretty damm good at it too!
