This morning I passed a girl on an ancient Schwinn cruiser. I bet the fenders weigh more than my whole bike. It was a bit dinged up but it appeared to be in perfect mechanical condition. As I rode by, I said "Great bike!" She smiled and waved. Then about 10 minutes later I passed an older woman on another cruiser, but this one looked like a brand new neo-retro deal. Very popular in Sactown. And she had purple streamers on the bars.
Always good to see more people on bikes.
