Did you change the dish of the wheel when you re-trued it? If you can, make a note of where the rim sets, and then reverse the wheel in the dropouts (put it in backwards, if you can). The rim should be in the same position laterally both ways. It sounds like the wheel is now dished a little bit farther to the drive side.

Good luck removing the dork disk, but make sure that it is not hiding a different problem first.
