i think you should be fine. As long as the shifter/derailleur are both "ESP" shifters, then there is nothing to worry about.

I believe SRAM's "rocket" line of grip shifters are only compatible with Shimano (any 2:1) rear derailleurs, but i dont think thats an issue with x-0 grip shifts.
