+1. It sounds like you changed the dish of the wheel a tad. Assuming you the disc didn't rub before, and you didn't change the dork disc, the logical explanation is the dish of the wheel changed Removing the dork disc now may not be the best idea, given that with the change in the dish, the chain, and worse the derailleur may hit the spokes without the disc there. I'd take it to a shop, ask them to check the dish.
