This is why it is better to wait a couple of years *before* going to university
The prevailing attitude around here (or at least in my immediate surrounding family) is that the faster you get into university, the faster you graduate, and the faster you start making some real money. As such, any suggestions or hints of year off or time off is met with extreme prejudice.
