Continuing the trend from last week, today was overcast and cooler. Little wind, which was a blessing. I switched to clipless for the first time ever over the weekend and did some really long rides to get used to them. Love the pedals but was beat today. At one point on the rail trail two pairs of senior citizens were biking ahead of me completly blocking the path. I rang my bell and no movement. I then verbally signaled and still no acknowledgement. I just rode on the shoulder around the first guy who moved over as his buddy pointed out to him that there was someone behind him. Then as I approached the 2nd pair the exact same thing happened. Very frustrating.
I have to say I am approaching the views of those who refuse to ride the trails. I love them when they are empty but there are so many people who refuse to use them responsibly. Getting the bell helped a lot, but not for the hard of hearing and headphone wearers
