ugh.. I'm starting to experience a little knee pain/stiffness/ache in my left knee. sort of front/top part of my knee. Anyone think it's fixie related?
If you weren't on a fix, i'd tell you that your seat height was too high. But you should check out your cleats first for wear. Even riding more upright or in a different position can cause knee pain.

Ride around without backpedalling/resisting at all without changing anything else and see. It took me a couple rides to dial in my cleats properly since switching from float to fixed. Float seems to allow you to be much more sloppy with the fit.

picked up mine cheap as well and they came with the plastic levers. the ratcheting novelty is beginning to wear off....
When mine breaks i'm probably just going to get my m0ther to sew in some velcro, they don't cinch tight enough on the buckle as much as i'd like it to. However the buckle IS good as there's no possible way that strap is going to slip mid ride which always does on the velcro ones.

Also, obviously y'alls are gonna have to kick in for gas with me or Keith.
So if I ride your car I can give my gas money to Keith?
